SHIFT-IT Fitness TERMS & CONDITIONS

Shift-It Fitness works to ensure the highest level of personal service to each client. All programmes are a bespoke design for each individual. Therefore, we like to ensure that we have the time and hours to give your programme the dedication it deserves. For this reason, we only ever take on an optimum number of clients. Therefore, you may be added to a waiting list.

FEES AND PAYMENT OF FEES

Payment is made in advance of a session, including standing orders and direct debit options which are discussed at initial consultation.

Fees are set at the discretion of Shift-It Fitness but are commensurate with industry norms for this area. Discounts are discretionary and will be considered for longer term commitments.

USE OF PERSONAL TRAINING (PT) SERVCES:

Once a PT service option has been purchased these must be taken within the pre-discussed timeframe.

PT BLOCK SESSIONS ONLY

These must be taken within a three month window, which commences on the date of your first session of the block.

RESCHEDULING

Whilst not guaranteed, if your scheduling conflict is known and notified at least 48 hours in advance, Shift-It Fitness will make all reasonable endeavour to reschedule the session to a later date.

Sessions missed with less than 24 hours notification may be subject to full payment.  This is at the discretion of the Shift-It Fitness personal trainer with due regard to the impact of cancellation.

Weather and environmental conditions that are deemed unsafe may lead to a PT session or class being postponed.  Every reasonable endeavour will be made to reschedule at a mutually convenient time.  If greater than 75% of the session time has been completed before it is deemed unsafe to continue, no refund will be given.

REFUNDS

Where a client has committed to a longer term package, and has enjoyed the benefit of discounted rates, then should these future commitments be cancelled, refunds will be adjusted to reflect services up to the point of cancellation at full rate. ​

Shift-It Fitness reserves the right to refuse refunds, which are offered strictly on a discretionary basis. Refunds will be granted if a medical condition, with doctors exemption note, prevents continuation of the programme.

Shift-It Fitness only ever take on an optimum number of clients to ensure clients get the session times they require. Therefore, Deposits are non-refundable, unless in week 1 of the programme. These are set at 20% of your package cost.

EQUIPMENT

Ignoring the direction or instruction of the Shift-It Fitness personal trainer on safe and appropriate use of equipment that leads to or causes damage, or knowingly damaging or destroying equipment, may leave you liable for replacing that equipment on a like-for-like as new.

HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE (PAR-Q)

Client’s must notify Shift-It Fitness of any changes in their health status since completing their initial PAR-Q.  Shift-It Fitness will take no liability whatsoever If there are any changes in conditions that are not notified in advance of a session beginning.

The safety, health and wellbeing of all clients is paramount to Shift-It Fitness. Therefore, the Shift-It Fitness personal trainer has sole discretion to decline your participation in a session or class if, in their professional opinion, you are unfit to take part. You will be able to reschedule at a mutually convenient time or take that class at a later date.

LATE FOR APPOINTMENTS

In the circumstances of a client’s late arrival for an appointment the session will still end at the originally scheduled time to protect Shift-It Fitness’ schedule, unless the personal trainer is able to extend the session should commitments allow. If a Shift-It Fitness personal trainer is delayed, the time will be made up for in discussion with the individual client.

ARRANGING SESSIONS

Shift-It Fitness encourage clients to take an active role in planning and booking their sessions. Please call or email your personal trainer to book your sessions as early as possible. Shift-It Fitness will make every reasonable endeavour to accommodate the times and days you require.
